I am a Melbourne based artist. Having graduated with a BSc at Monash University I travelled overseas and studied at St Martins College of Art and Design, London gaining my BAFA (Hons) First Class and then returned to Australia and completed an MFA at Monash University.
My work has focused the observational responses to nature, where subtle perceived shifts of colour and light, shape and shadow, form and texture are expressed in sculptural form, installation, photographs and paintings.
I have exhibited in a number of cities - London, New York, Japan, Sydney and Melbourne. These have included solo exhibitions including Melbourne Design Week (2022), Boyd Temporary (2018), Counihan Gallery (2012), Blindside Gallery (2012) and The Linden Gallery(2012) and in group shows in Melbourne; ArtHouse Richmond (2024), Notfair (2017), Counihan Gallery(2017) and Blindside(2013) and at the Jacobson Howard Gallery, NY (2008), Makuhari Messe, Tokyo (2007), Salon des Arts, London (2004), and Austin/Desmond Fine Art, London (2003).
I have had work selected for the Toorak Sculpture Show (2021), Deakin Small Sculpture Award (2018), Wyndham Art Prize (2016), MCollection Award (2015), Sculpture at Scenic World (2015) and The Substation Contemporary Art Prize (2011) and completed a number of public and private commissions in Australia and overseas which included a large scale installation for McKinsey International Offices, Melbourne (2022) and the Lyric Theatre Sydney (2014). I have also been the recipient of grants such as the City of Melbourne Covid19 Response Grant (2020) for new work, Japan Foundation Grant co-curator/ artist (2017) and the Art Start Grant, Australia Council (2012).
